About the event
Join us for the next Generation Fearless Book Club, a curated reading experience rooted in connection, reflection, cafecito, cultural storytelling, and meaningful conversation.
Together, we’ll be reading In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez, a powerful historical novel inspired by the Mirabal sisters and their resistance against the Trujillo dictatorship in the Dominican Republic. Through themes of sisterhood, courage, family, sacrifice, identity, and freedom, the novel invites us to reflect on what it means to find our voices and stand against injustice.
This book club is designed to be intentional, accessible, and community-centered. We’ll gather in person for a Welcome, Meet & Greet, and Book Pickup on Thursday, August 6, then continue the conversation inside our private Circle community as we read at our own pace.

Generation Fearless Book Club registration is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested contribution of $5 or $20. Contributions help support our gathering space, cafecito, materials, and community programming. Participants may bring their own copy of the book or purchase a copy through Generation Fearless for $20.
